Think massage, good but kinda hurty

Our nomadic wanderings have led us to the Flint Hills of Kansas, a breathtakingly beautiful part of the country where the views stretch for miles and the people are warm and spicy.

We’re renovating an assisted living facility. We’ve honed our carpet demo skills and just this week we cooked our Thanksgiving dinner in a full sized oven! 

Essentially we’ve expanded our 260 square feet of living space to 15,000 for the next few months…. But we still sleep and eat in our trailer and merely use the extra acreage for magnet tiles and wallpaper removal.

I’ve learned a few things about renovations these last few weeks. The most important of which is this:

SAYING NO IS HARD.

Creating something from “scratch” takes an enormous amount of confidence in a vision that is completely arbitrary.
