Our nomadic wanderings have led us to the Flint Hills of Kansas, a breathtakingly beautiful part of the country where the views stretch for miles and the people are warm and spicy.

Weโ€™re renovating an assisted living facility. Weโ€™ve honed our carpet demo skills and just this week we cooked our Thanksgiving dinner in a full sized oven!ย 

Essentially weโ€™ve expanded our 260 square feet of living space to 15,000 for the next few monthsโ€ฆ. But we still sleep and eat in our trailer and merely use the extra acreage for magnet tiles and wallpaper removal.

Iโ€™ve learned a few things about renovations these last few weeks. The most important of which is this:

SAYING NO IS HARD.

Creating something from โ€œscratchโ€ takes an enormous amount of confidence in a vision that is completely arbitrary.
